The holidays have arrived! I love this time of year...the baking, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, pine, the smell of firewood burning in a fireplace. I am especially excited to see actual seasons up here in the Pacific Northwest. Living in Southern California, holidays were spent wanting to wear that fabulous winter attire, but the weather just wasn't cold enough. I know I shouldn't complain about the perfect weather in SoCal, but some days, it's nice to have that crispness in the fall and winter air, and the smell of fresh fallen rain. This winter will be our first winter with temperatures below the 50's. We are also hoping to have a "white" Christmas *fingers crossed*.

The Studio is celebrating this holiday season by launching new holiday items in the shop. We have listed a few gift tags, gift cards, (perfect for embellishing!) and a few holiday cards to spread the love this season. Here's a peek!

Simply Poetic Events {Real Business}

Bernadette is one fabulous event planner! Busy as a bee, she is always planning some sort of event, whether it be a holiday party, wedding, or private party. Bernadette approached me with ideas of an updated business card for her newly established DBA, Simply Poetic Events. She took some elements she loved from previous pieces I have designed and asked me to create a business card with a modern, yet sophisticated flair. I really like the colors she chose- a deep plum with gold ink!

Simply Sweet Baby Shower Invitations

These baby shower invitations were designed and letterpress printed for a baby shower for myself! Printed on 220# thick paper stock, in chocolate and sage green ink. I also printed coordinating thank you notes, sealed off in a plum colored envelope. We still haven't fixed up the nursery, but I think I am going to stick with these colors for either girl or boy!

Alison and Shaun {Save The Dates}

These flat-printed postcard Save The Dates were custom designed for Alison and Shaun. They are planning a wedding at a resort in Palm Desert, CA. Alison and Shaun wanted a destination themed postcard, with a retro feel. Their chosen colors are sage and purple, printed on an ivory background. Congrats Alison and Shaun!

The Studio has been experimenting with the proposition to offer flat printed invitation suites. We found the right paper stock, which still has similar texture and density as our letterpress stock, but can be fed through an ink jet or offset printer. We are looking to have our new flat-printed line ready to launch very soon!
