Guillotine Needs

I finished printing my gift tags, but needed to cut them to size. I have no room for a Chandler & Price Guillotine, but it is greatly necessary. I bought one of those heavy duty paper cutters for the table top, but the paper slides when slicing. This results in variable size, not good for your prints. I made my way to Lalapress in Silver Lake and was able to use Mable's guillotine. Clean, perfect edges. This one is next on my list!

Red, Black and White.. and a note

Today I was able to finish up the 2nd color of the "Red, Black, and White" gift card set. I was also able to print a one color note card.. I think I will doing this note card is various colors. Since I do not have room for a guillotine, I will have to have to use Lalapress to cut my gift cards to size.

I had some issues with replacing the tongues of my gauge pins. They just would not stay in the slits. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to remedy this, place leave a comment!

Lalapress Saves The Day

In the event you are having issues with your press and have a deadline that won't let you sleep, there is always Lalapress located in Silver Lake. After having issues with my Adana 8x5, I decided to contact Mable at Lalapress. She is the owner of Lalapress and has a studio of Vandercooks and Heidelbergs. At Lalapress, you can "rent" studio time. For a fee to use the facility, you can get your projects done in no time! I was able to do a few projects (personal business card, gift card, and a 4 bar blank card set) I have had on standby because of my frustrations with Adana. I was able to use one of her Vandercooks. A lovely press that is very precise in registration and a press I hope to one day acquire.
*Thanks to Brokenwinter for shooting my business cards.
